Library personnel are always ready to support researchers. Consult a librarian about using library resources, getting help with your research and teaching, or training for your research assistant on using library resources. Librarians can also work with you to integrate library resources into your courses by developing customized research guides. Workshops
Library arranges workshops on several topics as part of its research support program. The topics are usually on:
A group of members from IUB community may request for arranging workshop(s) on any of the topics or they can join at the library’s scheduled date and topic. Besides, in the beginning of every semester the library regularly announces the schedule for “Library orientation” which is basically organized to aware new students/faculty members of IUB about the fundamental library resources and rules of library use.

Requesting Sessions
The library can run workshops/training for specific groups, classes or individuals on demand. These can include EndNote, Effective search techniques, Referencing styles (APA), Personalization of electronic resources etc.
Bibliographical service
The library personnel are always ready to help any researchers to check their references, in making citations, and compiling initial reading list for research on demand. We will prepare a primary list on your research topic on the basis of resources available in the IUB Library. Let us know your research topic and provide us two working days only.
Research consultations
Researchers (faculty members or students) may make an appointment with the Librarians for research consultation sessions which may include:
- Creating effective literature search strategies
- Accessing academic and research materials
- Locating top-ranked journals in a selected field of study
- Understanding journal quality metrics
- Managing references with EndNote
Training on Electronic Resources Databases
Training is one of the hands-on programs provided by the Librarians to help you understanding better about the databases. e.g.: EbscoHost, ProQuest, SpringerLink, Wiley Online, Emerald, Research4Life, etc.
The modules contain:-
- Overview of the databases.
- Type of searching techniques.
